  • Buffy breast and flanks with thin black streaks.
  • White belly.
  • Reddish-brown crown with thin gray medial stripe.
  • Thick gray eyebrow.
  • Gray face and supercilium.
  • Brown eye ring, streak extends behind eye.
  • Olive back with darker streaks.
  • Brownish-olive wings.
  • Thin, rounded tail.
  • Sexes alike.

Similar Species

Fox and Song Sparrow are larger and darker in color. Savannah Sparrow usually has yellow on face.
